Facts About School and Life:

Standard

I was in gym class the other day when I noticed something. There are 7 girls in my gym class and about 14 boys. There’s two girls that are nice, two girls that make fun of everything, my friend and I, and another girl that complains about everything.

The two mean girls were noticeably making fun of the two nice girls. The two nice girls may not be the prettiest girls or the skinniest, but they were having fun playing basketball (the game we were playing that day). I learned that instead of worrying what other people think of you so much, just have fun. These two girls that make fun of everyone and all the guys don’t even pay attention to them because they’re so mean and nasty. My friend and I have tried to be nice to them but they always give my friend and I dirty looks. The guys like my friend and I because we’re not rude and mean, and we actually try in the class as well.

Here’s a quote by Angie Steadman the character from Diary of a Wimpy Kid (The 1st Book):

“You know what, Patti? One day middle school will end and become high school and after that it just becomes life. All those things you think are important now won’t be anymore.”

You see, I’m not saying that if your popular, you’re not gonna be successful; I’m saying if you think that because you were popular in high school and middle school you’re gonna get into a good college just based on the, the fact is there’s no spot on a college application that says Are You Popular? Check Yes or No. After middle school and high school the whole ‘game’ of ‘I’m more popular then you so we can’t be friends’ will only be a memory. All that will matter is how well you did and you enjoyed yourself during those years.

But like they say, karma’s a b*tch. Those two girls who were so mean and never tried have to re-do gym. Why? Because they didn’t give enough ‘effort’ that means unless they re-take the whole half a year gym course again, they won’t graduate from high school.

The Season of Giving

Standard

It’s December! When you hear Hanukkah or Christmas what pops into your mind? For most teenagers its presents like the new iPad Air or the X-Box One. Next time think about other teenagers and children who won’t get these things. No, this isn’t a commercial for ‘donate to help save this child from going hungry’, but just think about it for a second.

Anyways next time you have a chance do something out of kindness, maybe donate to Goodwill or donate to the Salvation Army. It takes little time and you’ve made a difference in someones life…doesn’t that make you feel good? DId you know this year Thanksgiving and Hanukkah started on the same day? According to calculations it won’t happen for another 79,000 years!
